Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Rear Side Area

NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  • When removing components, use the trim tools or equivalent.
  1. Remove these items:
  1. Remove the rear shelf (A).

  1. Remove the jack cover (A).

  1. Right side: While pushing the hooks (A), pull back the pocket (B).

  1. Pull out the seat belt hole cap (A) to release the hooks (B), then remove the cap. Slip the rear seat belt though the slit (C) in the rear side trim panel.
  1. For some models: Remove the spare tyre.

  1. Remove the rear side trim panel (A).
    -1.
    Pull the rear lower edge of the panel back to release the lower hook (B) and the wire hook (C).
    -2.
    Release the clips (D, E).
    -3.
    Pull the upper edge of the panel back to release the upper hooks (F) from the rear pillar trim (G).
    -4.
    Pull back the panel back to release tie down hook (H) and the sear seat-back striker (I).
    -5.
    Disconnect the trunk compartment light connector (J) or rear accessory socket connector (K).
  1. Install the panel in the reverse order of removal.
    • Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
    • Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
    • Push the clips into place securely.
