Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Door Area
Door Sill Area
NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  • When removing components, use the trim tools or equivalent.
  1. Remove the front door sill inner trim (A).
    -1.
    Disengage the hooks (B) and tabs (C) from the kick panel (D) and center pillar lower trim (E).
    -2.
    Detach the clips (F), then remove the trim from the front door inner seal (G).
    -3.
    If necessary, detach the clips (H, I) by pulling the front door sill outer trim (J) up, then remove it.
  1. Pull out the front door inner seal (A) from the trim hooks (B) and around the front door opening flange, then remove the seal.
  1. Pull the right kick panel (A) or the left kick panel (B) back by hand to detach the clips, then remove it.
  1. Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
    • Push the clips and hooks into place securely.
