  1. Check the connections at the audio-HVAC subdisplay unit 10P connector and the audio unit connector D (10P).
Are the connectors and terminals connected properly?
YES -
Go to Step 2 .
NO -
Repair the connection and recheck.■
  1. Check for continuity between the audio-HVAC subdisplay unit 10P connector and the audio unit connector (10P) terminals for each wire listed in the chart.

YES -
Go to Step 3 .
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the display panel control unit and the audio-HVAC subdisplay unit.■
  1. Check for continuity between each audio-HVAC subdisplay unit 10P connector terminal and body ground.

Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair the short to ground in the wire between the audio unit and the audio-HVAC subdisplay unit.■
NO -
Go to Step 4 .
  1. Substitute a known-good audio-HVAC subdisplay unit and recheck.
Does the subdisplay work properly?
YES -
Replace the original audio-HVAC subdisplay unit.■
NO -
Substitute a known-good audio unit and retest. If the problem is gone, replace the original audio unit.■
